New Cubs

INTERESTED IN CUB SCOUTS?

YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE!

Scouts is about getting outside and exploring. During these times of endless Zoom meetings and too many screens, Bee Cave District scouts will deliver two free activities to any child in elementary school in Eanes or Lake Travis ISD. These activities include materials to make a bug house (bug, dirt, imagination not included) and a cord with two colors to help learn a knot. No screens here! See the attached document "BugHouseandKnot."

To request a kit, please send us an email to: bughouse@beecavedistrict.org. Please include your child's name, grade, your name, and your address. We'll deliver it to you soon. Please download the two attached documents for instructions and additional information.

Any child who registers as a new Cub Scout before the end of September, 2020, will receive a free Estes "GNOME" rocket to build and launch with his or her new Pack. See the attached document "FreeRocket."

For more information about what Cubs do, see: https://www.bsacac.org/programs/cub-scouts/

Cub Scouts are organized in Dens of children in the same grade. Some Packs welcome girls and boys (into separate dens) while others welcome boys. To help locate your local Packs, visit www.BeAScout.org

We have designed our program to be fun and still observe appropriate safety protocols, allowing for different levels of comfort with gatherings. When so much has slowed and stopped, Cub Scouts are still going and moving forward.

This year, for the first time, our Council is selling Adventure Boxes with the materials needed to complete the rank requirements for Cubs as well as all the optional activities.

We invite you to find out more about Cubs, talk with your local Pack, and learn how Cubs and Scouts can help your child grow into his or her best self.
