Come Early, Stay Late, Get Involved, and Wear Khaki!

What is Roundtable?

Roundtable is a form of commissioner service and supplemental training for volunteers at the unit level. The objectives of Roundtables meetings are to provide leaders with program ideas, information on policy and events, and training opportunities. It is a forum for sharing experiences and enjoying fun and fellowship with other Scout leaders. We want the Roundtable experience to inspire, motivate, and enable unit leaders to provide a stronger program for their Scouts.

Roundtable in the Bee Cave District is when you experience that “One Great Night of Scouting.” Every month we take the feedback from those who attend to generate additional program topics for future Roundtables. Make it a point to have your Unit represented at every Roundtable.

Roundtable is a great way to network with fellow Scouters and find resources to help you serve our Scouts. Share the experience! Build your Scouting network!

When and where does it take place?

The Bee Cave District Roundtable takes place on the second Thursday of every month and is held at Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church. The meeting begins at 7:00pm but come early to share in our monthly cracker barrel.

Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church is located at 7127 Bee Caves Rd, Austin, TX 78746 near the intersection with Barton Creek Boulevard.

There are often pre-Roundtable meetings staged in preparation for upcoming events like Webelos Woods, Recharter, and Camporee. Those meetings usually begin at 6:00pm. Check the calendar for the meeting schedule.

Who should attend?

Anyone interested in Scouting in the Bee Cave District is welcome to attend. We highly recommend that the Unit Leader (Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, Crew Advisor, etc.) as well as the Unit Committee Chair attend every Roundtable. District leaders and Unit Commissioners attend as well so it can be a great opportunity to pick their brains.

Need more information?

If you have questions, would like more information, or have a topic that you would like to see us cover at a future Roundtable, please reach out to one of our Roundtable Commissioners on the District Contacts page. We would love to hear from you!

We have a motto for the Bee Cave District Roundtable: Come Early, Stay Late, Get Involved, and Wear Khaki!
