What is Webelos Woods and why attend?
Webelos Woods is the first opportunity for 4th-grade Webelos Cub Scouts to learn what Scouts BSA is all about, and for 5th-grade Webelos Cub Scouts to continue to meet and interact with Scout Troops as part of preparing to cross over into Scouts BSA. It is an event that exposes the Webelos to Troop activities using the Patrol Method, in a Scout-led outdoor adventure, supervised by adult Scout leaders, and with parents nearby.
How much does it cost?
Usually, the cost is $5 to participate to help us cover event related costs.
What should we bring?
Besides Class A's and Nalgenes (water bottles) for your Scouts, expect it to continue to be hot and sunny.
Are restrooms available?
Yes, we typically do have restrooms available on-site. Please check the map for more information regarding this.
We are new to Scouting and did not do cubs - can we still attend?
Absolutely. Again, this is a great way to see your options whether your son or daughter is a rising 6th grader or already in middle or high school.
Are there any other resources for us as Webelos parents?
First coordinate with your Unit and Den Leader as they will be working closely with area troops to arrange visits. Also, read this document to learn more about the move from Sr. Webelos to Scouts.
