2026 CAC Summer Kickoff & Trash The Trash Event

Summer is right around the corner, and we want to help your unit kick it off with a BANG!  On Saturday, May 2nd the first ever Capitol Area Council Summer Kickoff will be held at the Frank Fickett Scout Training and Service center!

Kickoff the day by volunteering with Trash the Trash Day at Walnut creek park then come over to the Fickett Center for fun and games! Learn about our 2026 popcorn sale, fall recruitment plans, race some pinewood derby cars, visit our council booths, and learn about upcoming events!

This is a free event open to all. Lunch is provided at no cost! Please note that if you register for Trash the Trash you will eat lunch at Walnut Creek Park.
